Wednesday February 13th
Rose was off work today so she invited us over to the new apartment to see it taking shape as they were getting settled in. It really is a nice place with a swimming pool and hot tub just a short ways from their door. The rent is steep but there are three roommates to share the load, so Rose will actually be paying less than the last place she was at.
Later I stopped at Costco to confirm that they had received the fax from Keystone; they had not. I guess I will be buying the tires at Les Schwab instead, for a few bucks more.
Next stop was Lincoln to get the data transferred to the new iphone that Cathey got in the mail the other day. The Verizon techs could not make the new phone work, so we have another defective device to return to Verizon. Fortunately they make it easy because you can use the same box and packing with prepaid label.
When we got done with the Verizon folks we returned to the trailer to meet Rose and go out to dinner. We went to the Olive Garden in Roseville. We had a great waiter who told us about himself. Besides working at Olive Garden, he also goes to school part time and works at a vineyard near his home in Foresthill, CA, on an as-needed basis. He plans to attend the Culinary Institute of America in San Jose to become a sommelier.
Both of my Valentines seemed pleased with their dinner.
