A Noisy Saturday in Lake Havasu

Saturday March 17th

A pretty quiet day for us as far as activity was concerned, but not quiet at all as far as ambient noise was concerned. The races are taking place about a half mile from our campsite and the PA system is loud enough to be heard clearly as well as the noise of hundreds of motorcycles and ATVs. Our only venture from the trailer was to finally go and get the laundry done about 4pm. It had been overcast much of the day and just before we went to the laundramat, it started raining lightly. The change in weather had been in the news for days already; the weather forcasters are predicting a big drop in temps and lots of snow in the mountains. Much of Arizona is drier than normal; they have only had half of their normal precipitation this winter so they need all the moisture they can get. By 10pm the rain had picked up and was pretty steady.

Had problems getting on the internet through our Mifi gizmo; I made some changes so that the laptop would not try to hook up to just any wifi available. The changes must be the problem……
