Thursday January 10th
We were supposed to pay the rent yesterday after we got setup, but by the time I remembered the office was closed. Once we were up-and-moving today we went over to the office to pay up. We were intending to pay for a week, although I figured that we would probably be here two weeks. As it turns out the weekly rate for two weeks is about the same as the monthly rate, so we ended up paying for a month.
Temperatures this morning were in the mid 30's and the wind is blowing so it was chilly in the trailer. The wind blew all day and you could tell by the haze in the air that there was a lot of dust in the air. The wind is bringing in more cold weather and the weather man says it won't warm up again until after the weekend. That's unfortunate timing on our part but at least it won't last for long.
