Monday December 31st
Checked with the office and we got the package with our mail but no package from Verizon. Cathey wanted to go to the Verizon store so I took her to the one that I have been dealing with. She talked to a sales person for Verizon on the phone and renewed her contract and she intends to get a new phone but they will not issue it through a store; it has to be shipped so we will have to wait on that, we won't be here long enough to receive it here. This will be our last night in Sacramento. Tomorrow we will go to Roseville and spend a couple days at the Marriott there; Cathey had bonus points saved up for that. Drove to Roseville and inspected the parking lot at the Marriott but didn't see anything especially promising as to a place for the trailer while we are there.
We did laundry late in the afternoon; we also did laundry on Christmas eve. I wonder when we will do it next week since there is no "eve" day.
Watched the New Year's celebration on TV but went to bed before midnight (pacific time). There was supposed to be a big fireworks display not far from us in Sacramento but there was a shooting about 9pm and the show was cancelled.
Near as I can figure the Ray Piper New Year jingle is "We'll make the scene, in 2013!"
