Tuesday January 1st
Did the usual routine of clearing surfaces and stowing things, but also had to pack a suitcase with clothes and another bag with electronic chargers and cords for all the electronics. Drove to Roseville about noon and parked the truck and trailer kind of near the front door but out of the way. I thought we would have to just sit there until everyone checked out, but then I walked around the building and discovered another parking lot directly behind the building - completely empty. The lot wasn't very big but just right for stashing the trailer and with enough room to get turned around. It was too early to check-in, so we parked and then went to Mimi's for lunch. We contacted Rose but she wasn't ready for lunch yet. Rose and her friend Echo, visiting from Port Angeles, WA, met us at Mimi's just as we were leaving. We went back to the hotel and the young ladles helped us move in. We sat around in the hotel room and visited with the the ladies; this was the first time I had met Echo, although Cathey had met her before. She is attending the local college in Port Angeles and living with her dad - and looking forward to having her own place and a little more money to spend.
We snacked for supper and went to bed early.
