Saturday December 8th
Up and at-em early today. Took the old table off of its supports and measured the placement of the metal fixtures on the bottom, then moved the fixtures to the new table, drilled the pilot holes and put in the screws. Viola - a new table! I rounded the corners with the jig saw and sanded the edges; I can't put polyuerathane on until we are somewhere where it's warm enough for it to dry outdoors, so we will get a oil cloth to cover it for the time being.
Later in the morning Cathey and I went to the Co-op for the oil cloth and some other odds and ends. Also remembered to get a 4 foot length of 1/8 inch steel cable for the trailer emergency brake mechanism. The old one got cut during the contortions to get the trailer into place last spring. When we got back to Greg's I put loops into the ends of the cable and finished another project that had to be done before we hit the road.
For supper Saturday evening Terye and Gabrielle made soft shell tacos with all the right stuff, they were great. Then came game time when we all (Greg, Terye, Gabrielle, Jeff, Cathey and I) played Cranium; it was a hoot!
